EYELASH EXTENSION FAQ'S
Traditional false lashes are in a strip or multiple lashes knotted together (flares) and applied onto the eyelid using a hard drying adhesive. They often cause discomfort and sometimes natural lashes to fall out. They last only a few days to a week and look unnatural and feel heavy. Some salons called the multiple flare lashes extensions or individual lashes but they are not individual at all. They can cause a great deal of damage to your natural lashes and do not last. Below are some of the common questions I get from new clients. Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to use the contact page and I will get back with you as soon at possible.

How are Eyelash Extensions applied?
Eyelash Extensions are applied with an adhesive that dries soft allowing lashes to stay flexible and bouncy. Mink, silk and human hair lashes have the most flex. Because the bonding is to each individual lash and not to skin, extensions will last significantly longer than traditional false lashes or flares. Also, the adhesive is stronger so less is used. This helps the extensions be more comfortable. Extensions can look and feel like human lashes.

How often should touch ups be done?
We recommend getting a touch up every two to four weeks but this depends on the type of extensions you have on and how well you cared for them ( left them alone and kept oil off of them ). A natural eyelash falls off every 25 days on average due to the natural growth cycle and is naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Our touch ups also include what ever required maintenance the lashes may need, like trimming and removing extensions that grew out. We then place a fresh lash at the base.

How long do eyelash extensions last?
When applied properly they can last up to 4 weeks depending on the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes and how well you take care of them. A real lash's life cycle is around 25-28 days, and as yours grow and fall out, so will the synthetic ones that are attached. Do not be duped by those who promise eyelash extensions or attachments that last for 2+ months. Eyelash extensions will not last for 2+ months, this is false advertising by salons and inexperienced people.

Can eyelash mascara be applied on extensions?
Mascara is not needed or recommended with extensions. However, if the client must have the mascara look, only extension mascara can be used on the tips after the coating sealer that we can provide. Waterproof mascara along with any type of oil based mascara will dissolve the bonding agent and cause the extensions to fall off. Waterproof also leaves a residue and makes fills or touch ups impossible. If you want a bold mascara look you can have the extra thick extensions with a thick sealer applied.
